A song about a butterfly. Originally the lyrics were intended for something different, but that didn't turn out as intended. Since I still kind of liked them, I used them to create this song.

Et var aanmal aan vvundet Thin;

Aan Schmedderlin, aan Schmedderlin.
Verse:
Once there was a colorful thing;
A so-called butterfly.
With subtle wings, to and fro;
Fluttering above the sea of flowers.
It sipped here and sipped there;
Once it was sated it flew on.
Colorful and sweet, so is its life;
On summer breeze it floats.
Chorus:
Iridescent like a rainbow;
I would have flown through the world.
Over meadows and fields;
If only I was a butterfly.
A butterfly, a butterfly.
A butterfly, a butterfly.
Verse:
In the dance of the heavens, colorful light;
I forget sorrows, don't care.
From flower to flower, so light and cheerful;
I keep dreaming on.
A brief look, the world is large;
Free from grief, free from sorrow.
Only a flutter, so soft and gentle;
Turns the day into bright splendor.
Chorus:
Iridescent like a rainbow;
I would have flown through the world.
Over meadows and fields;
If only I was a butterfly.
A butterfly, a butterfly.
A butterfly, a butterfly.
Bridge:
And so here I stand and dream;
Looking at the meadows, flowers, trees.
Light heart, free spirit;
I don't care about sorrows.
Chorus:
Iridescent like a rainbow;
I would have flown through the world.
Over meadows and fields;
If only I was a butterfly.
A butterfly, a butterfly.
A butterfly, a butterfly.
A butterfly, a butterfly.
A butterfly, a butterfly.
